Cautivo 2018 is one of four flagship red blends from Bodega Dos Hemisferios. It is a bold and expressive red blend from Bodega Dos Hemisferios, crafted using the appassimento technique — a traditional Italian method where grapes are partially dried before fermentation. This process concentrates sugars, aromas, and flavors, resulting in a wine of remarkable richness and depth.

For Cautivo, nature dictates the rhythm. Each year, the oenologist is guided not by rules or expectations, but by what the vineyard tells him – aroma, color, feeling. For the 2018 harvest, he chose a grape that perfectly embodied the character of that year: Malbec

Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, Cautivo balances the intensity of ripe fruit with a powerful structure. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby color with violet reflections, hinting at its concentration and structure.

This Malbec is anything but shy. It is a wine made for robust pairings: grilled red meats, lamb, slow-cooked stews, or aged cheeses.

Cautivo 2018 is a wine that speaks—of place, of moment, of choice. Not mass-produced, but a personal interpretation of a special year, captured in a single numbered bottle.

On the nose, Cautivo 2018 reveals pronounced aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberry, plum, and blueberry, enriched by notes of vanilla, cocoa, and sweet spice from its oak aging. The palate is powerful and generous, with concentrated fruit flavors supported by firm tannins and balanced acidity. Chocolate and cedar nuances add complexity, leading to a long and satisfying finish.

Color: Deep ruby with violet hues.

Nose: Blackberry, plum, blueberry, vanilla, cocoa, and spice.

Palate: Concentrated and full-bodied, with rich fruit, firm tannins, and well-integrated oak.

Overall structure: Bold, complex, and harmonious, with depth from the appassimento technique and a lingering finish.
