The Travesía Malbec 2022 is a bold yet elegant expression of Ecuadorian winemaking. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, followed by a further 12 months of bottle aging—the time the wine needs to reach its full potential, it balances ripe fruit intensity with a refined structure.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby hue that hints at its concentration. On the palate, rich flavors of blackcurrant, plum, and dark cherry unfold, harmoniously laced with subtle spice and a touch of vanilla from the oak which comes together in a silky smooth yet robust structure. On the nose, the Travesía Malbec reveals aromas of ripe black fruits — blackberry, blackcurrant, and plum — layered with sweet notes of vanilla, soft spice, and a hint of oak. The palate is full-bodied yet silky, with generous fruit at the core supported by supple tannins. Balanced acidity adds freshness, while the finish is long and elegant, leaving behind a memory of dark fruit and gentle oak.

Bodega Dos Hemisferios, founded in 1999 near San Miguel del Morro, Ecuador, is a renowned winery known for producing high-quality wines in a region where winemaking was once considered a "paradox."
